Do you dwell on the past or dive into the future?

Are you embracing midlife with a positive outlook? Do you find yourself reflecting more on the past or planning for the future?
Some individuals tend to dwell on the past, reminiscing about past projects, their career journey, college memories, or even how things were different in earlier times. Personally, I enjoy reminiscing through music, often finding comfort in the tunes that accompanied my youth.
Conversely, there are those who are forward-thinkers, eagerly anticipating future endeavors. They view the third quarter of life as a new chapter brimming with possibilities – exploring new interests, contemplating career shifts, engaging in volunteer work, or pursuing long-awaited passions like writing a book.
Maintaining a focus on future aspirations and projects is key to living life to the fullest and navigating midlife in a postive way. Drawing inspiration from role models like my grandfather, who remained active and engaged until his passing at 89, can offer valuable lessons. He embraced new challenges at various stages of life after selling his company at 55, from learning culinary skills at 60 to mastering videography at 70 and even sharing humor online at 80, embodying a timeless spirit. Jo's father, who will soon celebrate his 90th birthday, keeps on working several days a month on projects linked to his first love, literature.
What person in their fifties, sixties, or seventies inspires you as they navigate life's transitions?
