On mountain time

Time.
We all have more of it in this life stage.
But how do we use it?
And why is it so difficult to slow down?
Navigating our third quarter is all about being intentional.
Know what you want. Then go for it. Just because you can.
We decided to take a long summer break.
This summer, we are on mountain time.
We move our body well.
We feed our body well.
We rest our body well.
Last week, we enjoyed a 5-day hiking tour of the Mont Blanc in the Alps. Walking about 9 hours a day, sleeping in huts, talking to people from around the globe. We were not alone and soon discovered why this is the number 1 hiking spot in the world. There is so much beauty in nature. And so much beauty in connecting with other people in person without phones. On the path, we saw people from all generations, all respecting each other's walking pace, no matter how fast or slow.
Everyone on the mountain gave each other the time they needed to get to the destination.
What if we applied that to the transitions we all go through in our third quarter?

Take time to slow down.
That's what summer is for.
If not now, when?
What's possible for you?
Often more than you think.
Keep it simple.
Just a few simple midlife hacks to help you along.
Enjoy the day,
Elke & Jo
